Family Mediation Training teaches mediators how to help families resolve conflicts, with a primary focus on helping couples through a dissolution.  You will learn how to handle emotionally volatile situations, help parents focus on the needs of their children in order to create and modify parenting plans as well as tips and techniques for dealing with difficult family cases. The training utilizes lecture, small group work and practice opportunities to help you learn and apply the skills immediately.

Completion of a Basic Mediation Training is required.

Classes run 8:30am to 1:00pm the first four days and 8:30 to 5:30pm on the final day.
